Public Vs Private IP address
Typically, if your IP address starts with '192.168.' OR '10.0.' then you are behind a router. This means that this IP address is a PRIVATE ip address. You can only use this Private IP address to access the cameras from another computer on the same network. To access your cameras from a remote location, you'll need to set up 'Port Forwarding' for this. Instructions vary depending on the version of EZ Watch Pro being used, please see our Support page for more help.
If your address starts with anything else, then you are probably NOT behind a router, and that the address is a PUBLIC IP address. The public IP address can be used to access the cameras from anywhere. Typically, port forwarding is NOT needed to view the cameras from a remote location if your computer itself is assigned a Public Address.
